Saltus! group at the FMF as well

The Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation is supporting a Saltus! research group at the FMF in the field of sustainable energy at the University of Freiburg with 200,000 euros.

Solar panels, batteries and fuel cells will all play a key role in the energy revolution.

The Saltus! format is designed for research groups from the University of Freiburg’s strategic areas and emerging fields. With its funding, the group will launch new joint projects, strengthen the profile fields ‘Environment and Sustainability’ and ‘Functional and Bioinspired Materials’ and boost the attractiveness and visibility of Freiburg as a home for international scientists. Prof. Dr. Birgit Esser from the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Prof. Dr. Anna Fischer and Prof. Dr. Ingo Krossing from the Institute of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, all members of the FMF, and Dr. Severin Vierrath from the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) will head the project.
