Science Days 2024

Three simply magical days! Our theme “Magic tricks with materials - mysterious alchemy” not only aroused the curiosity of the children and young people, but also sparked their creativity. With exciting experiments on chemical reactions, such as silver-plating small glass bottles with silver nitrate and creating a golden look from copper coins, the young researchers felt like real scientists in their lab coats and safety goggles.

The enthusiasm was palpable and the demand was so great that we sometimes had to refer them to later slots. One particular highlight was the opportunity to make their own silver-plated glasses, which the participants were allowed to take home with them at the end.

It was wonderful to see how proud and interested the young researchers were in the task! We are already looking forward to the Science Days 2025, where we will be delighted to take part again.
