3D printing at primary schools

For a long time, the FMF has had the goal of promoting Lifelong Learning. To this end, we have developed various formats.

Since June 2023, we have been cooperating with the Karolin Kaspar School in Vauban. A small FMF team led by Prof. Dr. Bastian Rapp has already been on site on four dates and introduced all the pupils to the subject of 3D printing, which was received with great enthusiasm. In addition to a theoretical part, everyone was able to see a 3D print in the original. Some of them were able to realise their personal wishes on the spot. The third part was devoted entirely to practice. Using 3D printing pens, everyone was able to get active themselves and give free rein to their creativity.

Further projects are planned, such as:

  • Electricity from fruit and vegetables | The potato battery | Lecture and practice

(BO]

  • Conductivity | Tower game |Discussion and interactive participation

(ESD, VB, BO)

  • 3D Printing | Lecture with practical examples

(ESD, VB)

  • Good plastic - Bad plastic | Waste separation | Lecture with interactive part

(BNE, PG, VB, DB)

  • Detector technology | interactive - X-ray of Ü-eggs

(PG)

Here we also tried to include the guiding perspectives of the current education plan, such as:

  • Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
  • Prevention and Health Promotion (PG)
  • Vocational Orientation (BO)
  • Media Education (MB)
  • Consumer Education (VB)
  • Democracy Education (DB)
